3D E-book Cover Software – Review

I have now used the 3D E-Book Cover Creator software and here is my conclusion. As a very simple e-book cover creator it does the job. I am however a bit disappointed in the limited options offered in the package. At it’s core the software is functionally user friendly and easy to learn.  In this entry I will present the various templates offered by the 3D E-book Cover Software and give you my opinions about the pros and cons for using the software.

As I was using this software I had to remind myself that I only paid $27 for the package. There are other more expensive software packages out there and I am sure if I had paid more I would have gotten more functionality with them.

The software makes it very easy to change background colors by providing a color button to click on and then offering a color selector with point and click ease.

Like wise you can create a 2D Book cover with Power point and save the image front cover and a binder image as pictures. The Software will allow you to upload those images. As you flip through the various templates offered by the program you can preview how your image will look as a  3D book cover, CD, Jacket, or Workbook. See samples of each below.

There are a couple of pieces of functionality I would have liked with this package that are currently not part of it and once again I have to remind myself that this is only $27 for this software. One is that the disc conversion of an image puts the disc hole right square in the middle of your image.  So actually you will need to make  a separate image in power point for a disc in order for the CD image to convert properly.

The other functionality that would be nice is if the software gave us the ability to select how many disc or books we want to pair together. This software is pretty much a take or leave it package where you have 14 templates to choose from and that is all there is.

Once again maybe I am asking too much from such an inexpensive package. So the bottom line is if you are looking for a simple functional program to create canned 3D book covers and CD packages, the 3D E-book Cover Software will do the trick for you.

I almost forgot to mention the bonuses. When you buy this software there are a ton of fonts,  graphics,  arrows, clouds, and boxes you can download which comes with the software.
